Eric Giroud designer: a tribute to CHARLES ZUBER
The collaboration with the famous watch designer Eric Giroud, which is more about an encounter than a classic watchmaking briefing, was a natural, humane and far from a priori.
In challenge mode, the idea of creating a non-round watch, i.e. taking the risk of adding one to the 4 or 5 timepieces that have been looping for 40 to 50 years, is simply delightful.
A stroke of genius, he had the idea of making a three-part case, without straight lines, to offer it a flat bezel and a festival of curves. He refuses to adopt the logic of a single product.
He offers this watch a subtle allusion to the profession of CHARLES ZUBER and Vincent Perego: a watch winder inspired by an old gem-setting tool. A pure delight that adds to the stylistic rays of a sun that, by its curvature, underlines the roundness of the minutes.
CASTING
A process used to make multiple copies of the same piece of jewellery whereby an original masterpiece is made and then duplicated. The most common method used today is wax replacement casting.

INTEGRATED CASE AND BRACELET
With its bevelled rim, the design of its case favours the multiplication of faces and surfaces, contrasts and textures. titanium, steel, the three colours of gold, grey, pink and yellow of its case, play on alternations or encounters.
EXCEPTIONAL DIAL
Ultra sophisticated and highest precision in manufacturing the 60 indexes (triangular furrows in relief), secured to the dial base that a second laser cut-out plate covers: each of the apertures perfectly matches the indexes.

The so-called « sandwich » construction, with three interlocking parts, is perfect for mixing materials. Angled circumference, alternating polished and matt faces. History tells that this spherical shape, also known as the amber apple, was filled with prophylactic essences such as ambergris, civet or musk.
From the Renaissance onwards, these adornments were transformed into pieces of goldsmith’s work created from carved precious metals. Often, their small spherical cage would used to be opened at the equator by a discreet hinge or spring system.

Its ogive shape, finely encircled by a protective net with threads so fine that they manage to fade away, offers all the light to precious and semi-precious stones.
To this multiplicity of genres of jewelry are added the surfaces and elements of an ogival shape open to numerous customizations.
